Medical Oncology

The medical-oncology department, located on the second floor, includes a comfortable chemotherapy suite and pharmacy. Medical oncology/chemotherapy is the use of proven anticancer drugs to treat cancer. This method can be used alone or in combination with radiation to treat many types of the disease.

In addition to private suites, the department includes an extensive support network specifically designed for chemotherapy patients.

Services of the network include a nourishment station, psychological counseling and a coordination center for home care, home infusion and hospice.

Because the Center participates in national studies on the latest chemotherapy treatments through the National Cancer Institute, patients are eligible to receive the most advanced medications and methods available.
