Jody, Now Fit to Do Job of Her Dreams
"I needed someone to push me."
Jody was confident she could meet
the running requirements to join a
select government agency after sailing
through the academic portion of the
application. The other physical
demands—strength, agility and defensive skills—
were another matter.
No worry. Jody, whose last name and agency
aren’t mentioned for security reasons, turned her
conditioning over to an athletic
performance trainer with Borgess Sports Medicine.
Jody began training an hour a day, three days a
week, ultimately passing the physical requirements
and earning agency acceptance.
“I couldn’t have done it without him,” said the
31-year-old mother of two. “I needed someone to
push me
. I needed to do things harder than I had
and he made me do it.”
The Athletic Performance Program provided Jody with everything she needed in order to meet agency goals. “I could
barely nail maybe two pushups when I started,”
Jody said. “Now I can do 30. He definitely
prepared me.” |
