Bariatric Classes & Events

Everyone can use a little support.

The Borgess Bariatric Center connects with patients on many levels to help achieve weight loss goals. Beginning with free bariatric seminars, our goal is to help you make the best decisions – and give you the best chance for success.

When you become a bariatric patient at Borgess, you become part of a dedicated team. We offer a variety of classes, events and support groups to help you achieve and maintain your weight-loss goals.

Here are a few examples of the ongoing support you can receive from the Borgess Bariatric Center:

Bariatric Support Group

At the Borgess Bariatric Center, we are dedicated to providing the information, encouragement and support network to help ensure the best outcome possible. Bariatric Support Groups put you in touch with others who have had bariatric surgery, so you can share successes and questions, as well as your lifelong commitment to lose weight — and gain life.

Bariatric Surgery Reunion

Patients of the Borgess Bariatric Center always look forward to our annual reunion as a chance to celebrate their hard work and success with those who appreciate it most. It’s a great chance to catch up with your surgeon and your care team — as well as a chance to meet others who have had bariatric surgery and discuss each other’s experiences and triumphs.

This year's reunion theme will be "paying it forward," where some of our patients will share stories about how they've helped others begin their weight loss journey. The bariatric reunion will be held on Saturday, April 26 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Lawrence Education Center auditorium.
