Our Volunteers

Let’s face it. One of the reasons Borgess-Lee receives high marks in patient satisfaction is because we have a corps of active community members who volunteer and give unselfishly of their time.

We currently have 47 of these great people. In 2002, they gave more than 4,500 hours of service to support our patients, the professional health care staff, and the hospital itself.

Our volunteers work in highly visible places all around the hospital – at the lobby information desk, in the Lee Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Gift Shop, in patient education and in the surgery waiting room. They serve behind the scenes too – in the administrative offices, the kitchen and the lab.
