The Systems Product Coordinatior will be primarily responsible for coordinating the activities of the supply area and maintaining the inventory system. Monitors and reviews inventory levels and current usage trends, and prepares reports and other statistical data necessary for effective management decision making. In conjunction with the Management Team, develops, implements, and coordinates projects that maintain and enhance the effectiveness of the supply area. Assists in the maintenance of the department information system. Performs clerical duties as required.
Analytical skills necessary to understand, effectively monitor, and maintain supply inventories for specialty areas such as the surgical unit, ER, etc, are required.
Minimum of six months to one year of experience in inventory control and management information systems required.
Experience with PC and mainframe systems, and database system maintenance is required.
Materials management experience preferred.
Surgery / ER experience preferred.
Experience with spreadsheet and word-processing software is required. Microsoft Office is preferred.
Knowledge of record keeping and the ability to complete semi-complex mathematical calculations at a level normally acquired through completion of high school are required.
Ability to accurately type 40 wpm preferred.
